Celebrating success in African Banking

Following from last year’s success, IC Publications, publishers of African Banker are delighted to announce the 2nd African Banker Awards, which will take place on the 13th October 2008 at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington DC, during the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings.

This prestigious event will once again reward the individuals and companies that have contributed over the last year to the excellent performances of the banking industry in Africa across 17 categories.

The African Banker Awards are designed to recognise the reforms, rapid modernization, consolidation, integration and expansion of the African Banking sector. These awards will help to establish the corporate identity of leading banks and bankers from Africa who are increasingly playing crucial roles in the world banking system.

Banking and financial services in Africa have never been stronger than they are today. The African Banker Awards will acknowledge the people and financial institutions that are making a difference on the continent and celebrate the successful transformation of this key sector.
